Follow this step-by-step guide to activate your Bolt eSIM and stay connected in 190+ countries.

✅ Before You Begin

  • Ensure your iPhone supports eSIM (iPhone XS, XR, and later models).
  • Connect to Wi-Fi for activation or a hotspot.
  • Have your QR code ready (sent via email after purchase).
  • You can install your Bolt eSIM before arriving at your destination, but you will need a Wi-Fi connection to complete the setup.
  • If you receive a message saying "eSIM Not Activated", don’t worry! This happens because you're not yet in the eSIM coverage region. Once you arrive at your destination, it will start working automatically.

📌 Method 1: QR Code Activation (Recommended)

  1. Go to Settings → Tap Cellular (or Mobile Data).
  2. Tap Add eSIM (or Add Cellular Plan).
  3. Select Use QR Code and scan the Bolt eSIM QR code from your email.
  4. Follow the on-screen prompts and label your eSIM (e.g., "Bolt eSIM").
  5. Set Bolt eSIM as Primary or Secondary (choose based on your needs).
  6. Tap Done, and your eSIM is now installed!

📌 Method 2: Manual Installation (If QR Code Doesn’t Work)

  1. Go to Settings → Tap CellularAdd eSIM.
  2. Tap Enter Details Manually.
  3. Enter the SM-DP+ Address and Activation Code (provided in your email).
  4. Follow the prompts to complete installation.

⚙️ Final Setup & Important Notes

  • Go to Settings → Cellular → eSIM and enable Turn On This Line.
  • Set the installed eSIM as your preferred data line if using it for mobile data.
  • Enable Data Roaming on the installed esim profile.
  • Remember: If you see a message like "eSIM Not Activated", this is normal if you're not yet in a supported region. It will activate once you arrive at your destination.
